These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to anyone who uses Point at mepointai.com ("the Service"), operated by Point AI ("we", "us", "our").

By using Point, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

✅ What Point is

Point is a free address update checklist tool that helps you identify every account, service, and organization you need to notify when you move. It is an informational and organizational tool only.

• Point does not update your address on your behalf (in this version)
• Point does not contact third-party organizations for you
• Point does not store your address on our servers
• Point's AI assistant provides general guidance only — not legal or financial advice

🤝 Your responsibilities

When using Point, you agree to:

• Use the Service for lawful purposes only
• Provide accurate information when joining the waitlist
• Verify all address updates directly with each organization — Point's checklist is a guide, not a guarantee
• Not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy the Service
• Not use the Service in any way that could harm Point, other users, or third parties
• Not use the AI assistant to generate harmful, misleading, or illegal content

⚠️ No guarantee of completeness

Point's checklist is maintained with care but may not include every organization relevant to your situation. Address update requirements vary by province, state, and individual circumstance.

You are solely responsible for identifying and updating all organizations that hold your address. Point is a helpful guide — not an exhaustive or legally binding list.

Always verify directly with each organization that your address has been successfully updated.

🤖 AI assistant

Point includes an AI-powered moving assistant powered by Anthropic's Claude. The assistant provides general guidance about the moving process in Canada and the USA.

• AI responses are for informational purposes only
• AI responses do not constitute legal, financial, immigration, or tax advice
• Always verify important information with the relevant government body or professional
• We are not responsible for decisions made based on AI assistant responses
• AI conversations are not stored by Point after your session ends

📧 Waitlist and email communications

If you join the Point waitlist, you agree to receive occasional product update emails from hello@mepointai.com. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or by emailing us directly.

We will never send spam, sell your email address, or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

🔒 Intellectual property

The Point name, logo, design, and original content are owned by Point AI. The checklist data and application code are made available for personal use only.

• You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute Point's design or code without permission
• You may share the URL mepointai.com freely
• Contributing to the open-source checklist data on GitHub is welcome and governed by the repository license

⚡ Service availability

Point is provided free of charge and on an "as is" basis. We make no guarantees about uptime, availability, or uninterrupted service. We reserve the right to:

• Modify, update, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time
• Take the Service offline for maintenance without notice
• Add, remove, or change features at our discretion

We will make reasonable efforts to notify waitlist subscribers of major changes by email.

🛡️ Limitation of liability

Point is a free informational tool. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• Point AI is not liable for any missed address updates, financial losses, or consequences resulting from use of the Service
• Point AI is not liable for errors or omissions in the checklist content
• Point AI is not liable for actions taken based on AI assistant responses
• Point AI's total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed $0 CAD, as the Service is provided free of charge

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under Ontario or Canadian law.

🇨🇦 Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising from use of Point shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada.

If you are a US resident, you acknowledge that Point is operated from Canada and agree that Canadian law governs your use of the Service.

🔄 Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above and notify waitlist subscribers by email if the changes are material.

Continued use of Point after changes to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
