👤 Who we are

Point is a free address update checklist tool built for Canadians and Americans who are moving. The service is operated by Point AI and is accessible at mepointai.com.

📋 What data we collect

We collect the minimum amount of data required to operate Point.

• Checklist progress — stored locally in your browser using localStorage. This never leaves your device and we cannot access it.
• Addresses you enter — stored locally in your browser only. We never transmit, store, or process your old or new address on our servers.
• Email address — only if you voluntarily join our waitlist. Used solely to send you product updates about Point.
• Country preference — Canada or USA, stored locally in your browser. Used to show you the correct service names for your region.
• AI chat messages — if you use the Point AI assistant, your questions are sent to Anthropic's API to generate a response. We do not store these conversations. See Anthropic's privacy policy at anthropic.com.

🚫 What we never collect

• We never collect your real home address on our servers
• We never collect payment information
• We never collect your name unless you tell us
• We never use advertising trackers or sell data to advertisers
• We never share your data with third parties for marketing purposes
• We never use your data to train AI models

🔧 How we use your data

• Email address — to send you product updates, new feature announcements, and moving tips. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• AI questions — sent to Anthropic's API in real time to generate helpful responses. Not stored after the session ends.
• Anonymous usage data — we may use basic analytics (page visits, country) to understand how Point is being used. This data is aggregated and never linked to individuals.

🤝 Third parties we use

Point uses a small number of trusted services to operate:

• Cloudflare — hosts mepointai.com and our API proxy. Cloudflare may log request metadata (IP addresses, timestamps) per their privacy policy at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
• Resend — sends confirmation emails when you join our waitlist. Your email is shared with Resend solely for this purpose. See resend.com/privacy.
• Anthropic — powers the Point AI moving assistant. Questions you ask are processed by Anthropic's API. See anthropic.com/privacy.

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any advertising trackers.

🇨🇦 Your rights under PIPEDA

If you are a Canadian resident, you have the following rights under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA):

• Right to access — request a copy of any personal information we hold about you
• Right to correction — request correction of inaccurate personal information
• Right to deletion — request deletion of your personal information
• Right to withdraw consent — unsubscribe from emails at any time
• Right to complain — contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca

🇺🇸 US residents

If you are a US resident, Point collects minimal data as described above. We do not sell personal information as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) or similar state laws. To request deletion of your data, email hello@mepointai.com.

🍪 Cookies

Point does not use cookies. We use localStorage — a browser feature that stores data only on your device — to save your checklist progress. This data never leaves your browser and cannot be accessed by us or third parties.

🔄 Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify waitlist subscribers by email. Continued use of Point after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
